This is what somebody did when they got pissed that it crashed every half hour or so, said it worked for the 7 hours he's tried it since then. Microcrap should have realized that this was happening and should have fixed it before any shipped, just goes to show how careful they are and how much they test things. (probably did all the testing in an air conditioned room and didn't bother to test it with carpet or a warmer room)

But this is a "Out of the box" problem, There's no "airflow" in the cupboard I'd be putting mine in anyway, so It hardly matters where it is, you've gotta have a fan on it to make it work.

Truely hopeless, now lets not relate the 360 to the PS2, the PS2 is old and outdated, and has a lot less freakin problems than the srtupid 360.
You you do not have a fan on it, havent I made myself clear? And the 360 really isnt having any problems except for PSU related, so dont get off saying its stupid. And I dont call disk read error alot less problems, my cousin had to go through a PS2 because of this "little" problem

Hey guys lets not start a flame war about which has more problems. I had a drive go out on me on my PS2 after the first month when they came out. I called somone to ask about it and they gy said to me it seems to only happen to people who mount there PS2s vertically. After I got my replace ment I laid it flat and it is still working fine. That was almost 6 years ago.

Personally I would not put up with the faulty block. Take it back unless you want things to get worse. Maybe they have already started to fix the problem. Call them and ask them to replace your faulty PSU and maybe the new one will have a lil fan in it Or maybe the guy will tell you that it needs to sit on a hard surface.

6 years ago? Man did time fly..

So far (As the news says it) 20% of the buyers reported that they have problems with their Xbox 360's in ONLINE FORUMS. That excludes those who have internet in the first place, those who don't visit forums, and those who are unlucky enough to have to open it on Christmas day. I wouldn't be suprised if on the night of December 25th tolls would reach over 40%.

Then again what person in their right mind would play for 7 hours straight in the first place?

whoaa I don't mean to start this thread for ppl to go over war console. I mean I'm an avid collector myself- to possess all 3 consoles. And I'm not saying which is better. Just wanna ask, do consoles got early probs when they were first released? I see xbox 360 and ps2 got probs. Perhaps more coming?
