Test your components separately. Set up a divider on your Ram well below rated speeds and then work on getting your CPU's max speed. When you have found this, work your memory speed back up. Then you know what is limiting you and can apply more volts as necessary to the right area.
Just a note to keep a careful eye on temps under load

Super Pi is memory dependant..Loosen the timings on the ram be it by divider or a higher latency . .

i was running superpi 2, 4, and 8 at 300 HTT w/ mem voltage at 2.85v and a 133 divider, which would put me around 190 MHz FSB....stable w/ the processor clocked at 2.55 GHz. my processor don't run that hot, its in the mid 30's on a load. does my memory need more than 2.85 volts? because damn i can't go any more

I cant say I dont run that memory..But a performance 1 gig set should easily do more then 250 . 10x250 set HT to 4 or 3 even.

I googled it and apparently that ram is real good low latency ddr 400 that I have seen reviewed at ddr 500 @ 2.7 volts.

Could it be a bios issue ? Is there a flash for that ram chip type you are not using ? My DFI board has several Bios files each for specific ram modules..(TCCD,BH-5 Ect)

i don't know where to find BIOS files for my board. neo2 boards are easy to find, there's actually a really nice 939 neo2 forum at xtremesystems.org. but no such luck on a neo4....unless anyone here knows a good neo4 forum.

Just use the latest version from the MSI website.
Have you found the maximum of your CPU and Ram yet. Without these you're just guessing at what the problem is. By the way, what is your HT multiplier set to?

well i learn new things every day. read that i need to loosen my timings a little and i can hit ddr550

my HT multi is set to 3x
my max HTT is 300 - and i can't really go past 300 because i can't supply the power. 2.85 is as high as my mobo goes
and i've cranked my processor up to 2.7 GHz on my last motherboard stable, but then my mobo crapped on me.....

i have the latest MSI bios flashed on it..... just figured there would be a 3nd party bios like the neo2's...

Okay, I'd test how high you can get your CPU again and then work on your Ram. It'd probably be better to keep your timings as tight as possible, but do a few runs on Super Pi to test what is quickest.
