Ok so m y Audigy 4 will be coming tomoz and i just want to know will ihave to go into the BIOS to disable my Onboard sound card or can i do it Via Device Manager ?

I have my onboard disabled in my bios for using my audigy 2 and have had no problems. Im sure the other way^^ would just fine to

Yeah I guess both ways would be good. I"ve always heard that you do it in bios.

What would i disable therea a list of them under the sound tab couple of Codecs and one Realtek AC97 would i just disable that on its own and leave the others ?

Yeah I just checked my onboard, I think you'd disable Realtek AC97 audio for *** controller, I have via, so it says via where *** is. better yet you can just go into bios and disable onboard sound, its in pci devices I believe in my bios.

Disable in BIOS, delete the drivers

It's not hard to do it and just be on the safe side.

Diabling in BIOS would be better, although I had it enabled in both windows and BIOS for a while with no problems exept a "new device detected" pop up each time I started windows.
