Trying to find laptop cooling pad

Thread Starter
I just got an HP tablet last Wednesday, and quickly realized I'm going to need to get a cooling pad or something for it. This thing gets HOT!

Any suggestions? I'm not even sure what is a decent price range for these?
(doesn't have to be a cooling pad if there are better options out there)

Really any cooling pads work just fine. If you buy a cheap one, it'll be made a little less sturdy. But any kind of airflow will work just fine. I picked up a 5 dollar one for a laptop a couple years ago and it worked great.

I used to have a notebook cooler but I've come to the conclusion that they're a waste of money and just another thing to lug around. Don't forget that most of them leach power and battery life from your notebook.

Now I Just use 1/2" tall stick on rubber feet to raise the back of my notebook and I also undervolt using RMC Clock Utility. I just finished running Orthos for 20 minutes with a max cpu temp of 55°C (idles at 40°C). Max temp while gaming on my 8800m GTS is 60°C with an idle temp of 49°C. If I can get temps this good with a gaming laptop I see no reason to use a laptop cooling pad for anything.

I would love one, but I hate the USB plug sticking out the side of the system. I wish there was a *true* 90 degree plug or adapter than would sit flush against the side of the system (I've looked at every one I can find and they still stick out a good inch or so..)
