Rebuilding my system

Well, I am having a lot of trouble with the system I have. So, I have decided to sell most of the parts. Case, CPU, GFX, Mobo, and one gig of ram.

That will leave me with the optical drives, sound card, hard drive, floppy, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and one 120mm case fan. I have already posted about upgrading my system, but this one will be pretty much the entire system.

Here we go...

3700+ San Diego - $233

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert - $199

GeIL ONE Series 1GB (2 x 512MB) - $189

XFX Geforce 7800GT 256MB - $309

Thermaltake XASER - $150

Thermaltake Big Typhoon - $60

Sunbeam NUUO 550W - $79

Seagate Barracuda 120GB 7200 RPM 8M Cache - $87 (to match my other HD for RAID0)

Total - $1306 + shipping.

I will end up getting another GB of the Geil a few months after this. How does that look?

I think it would be best to match the companies if you going into RAID.
Oh, one more comment, i think you will like the Lian Li PC cases better. They are all alluminum and very sturdy. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112040

Cases are a matter of taste. I don't like either of the cases, even the Lian-Li; but I do agree that Lian-Li in general is awesome. I'm buying from them again next time around.

Nice set of components though, you should be good to go with that for quite a while.

Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB - Would this one be ok to run in RAID with a 120 GB HD?

For the case, I really want to go with ATX full, with the Xaser I actually planning on cutting out a hole on the side panel to stick this 120mm fan in.

Well, that HD will work fine, but you will loose an extra 80 gigs off of the 200 becuase it has to raid with the 120Gig HD. It suprises me that Maxtor doesnt make a SATA 120GB HD. You would save a few bux by getting the 160Gig version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144182 which you will only loose 40Gigs.
