CRTs don't have a native resolution because it's not a digital device. Native resolution means that the hardware takes all the inputs and converts them to a certain format before manipulating them, then will convert to whatever output format is selected. Always try to pick out a HDTV with a native resolution that matches the output of your main source (cable,satellite,etc) It'll allow a lot less signal manipulation which ultimately degrades the signal.
