Hd going out?

If an hd just disipears and after restart comes back up and then disipears again is that mean the hd is going out or already gone out?

ya and every thing just gets deleted (dont know how tho) and once i was playin a game and it just restarted, started to load windows and the ckdisk came up, after it got done it wint to the blue screen and restarted again and just keept donin that.

When you upgraded your CPU did you reinstall Windows? Sometimes that can cause some BSOD's.

Your haveing HD errors, sounds like a faulty HD to me ..

You can try to format your HD, then re-install windows, but i doubt that will work, though it is worth a try

Ya ive tryed that and it shows up in the windows installation setup and when it gos to format it, it says it cant be done lol and the hd is brand new not even 3 weeks old

PS can i use an external hd to run windows off of?

EDIT its an seagate hd ive had probs wit them in the past only good company that ive had good luck and no complants is Hitachi.

Is it a SATA? I had problems with my SATA and it turns out the cable was coming loose because it was caught on something. Just a thought.
