Which stepping was the good clocker for the Opterons, I'm looking to buy one of the 150's.

Okay, you could save yourself some money by buying a 144/146 depending on what motherboard you'll be running it on.
The steppings are as follows:
1. CABNE 0528/0530
2. CABYE 0540 FPBW
3. CABYE 0540 FPMW
4. CABYE 0540 FPAW
5. CABNE 0540 / CABYE 05xx (not 0540)
6. CAB2E
7. CABGE

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Seeing as the 144's and 146's are hard to find and are mostly cabbages now, I would look at the 148's on newegg. I got mine for 222USD, and I'm running stable at ~3GHz.

The 150 I just got in from Newegg was a cabbage, which I fine I guess since it won't ever be overclocked. Just FYI as to what the Egg 150s are lately. Keep in mind however that I have the worst luck on the planet.

EDIT: I just realized that today is my oc.net birthday!

My Opty150 CABGE VPAW runs at 3.0Ghz during benchmarks 12x250, and at 240x12 for games etc. So not all CABGE are bad lol
If you can... get a CABYE or CABNE, they are the better o/c'ers.
