Also, if you are installing Vista/Windows 7 you don't need to load the RAID drivers during install.

To the person saying "why not spend extra to be sure" well, that is the whole point of these forums, to a degree. We don't spend extra, we overclock/mod/flash/tweak! Eh, who am I kidding, we do end up spending extra too.

Sorry man, didn't mean to step on any toes. I posted a link to a newer version is all. You linked to v2.29es I linked to v2.36es.

Sorry if I got in the way. I meant no harm.

Sorry if I gave you the impression I was upset or anything. I just had the impression the person trying to crossflash tried to use the downloadable version from ASUS, and wasnt aware the first post had all the info/downloads he needed.

Ok...so i just ordered this board not knowing it had no support for SLI (lack of deeper research on my part) just thinking that all x58 board had support for both. Shame on me. I havent' gotten the board yet and i'm probably going to go crossfire this time around...but just wanted to thank the OP for this, i'm going to just flash it when i get it while i remember to do so.

great job!

This is just a guess on my part since i've not gotten my board yet. But after you flash it, did you go into the BIOS and disable the floppy controller and the one SATA controller? Since that's the only diff between the two boards.

Oh...and default the BIOS settings first before you go and disable the two things I listed above.

See if that helps.
