P6T SE deal thread turned discussion: Cross flash to P6T - Page 9

hey guys sorry to bring up an old thread... i have a 570 and p6t se and just used this thread succesfully.... i was having problems originally because i actually put the .rom in the name of the new bios file i was crossflashing to... to any of you getting an error and unable to crossflash... that is your fix... just rename the rom new... not new.rom... and use the same command line....voila! I am having trouble finding the floppy bios setting to turn off... but the jmicron controller is disabled... if some1 could help me find that or post a screen shot of where it is... I would greatly appreciate it....weird its not showing up under my advanced onboard devices list

Under the main tab you should see "Legacy Diskette A". Set it to disable:

Just wanted to say that my computer is still working great almost a year and a half later after having flashed it with the P6T bios. I'm running to nVidia GTX 470s in SLI with no problems. Thanks OP for a truly 1337 post.

hello, I am a happy owner of motherboard asus p6t SE and I flashed the bios(and clear cmos) with your files from USB but in the "advanced" "onboard device configuration" figure only 1 controller "J-Micron" and not two as in the screen of the "oc palm" version. I've tried various versions of bios p6t smooth, from 1201 to the last 1408, in none of the options "onboard device configuration" include 2 controllers "J-Micron", so I had to disable the only controller in order to have a system that boot once time and SLI ready, but lost the door "e-sata" ... have you a specific bios or dedicated that see both controllers? thanks:o

You want to run the HP Boot USB disk creator in Win XP compatibility. Just right click the exe, select properties, then click on the compatibility tab and select XP.

Make sure to put spaces before each /

I'll use _ to represent a space:

Afudos_/inew.rom_/pbnc_/n
