Would've recommended that powersupply had you said sub $100, but I agree with sccr, get him to spend the money, it'll be better than having to buy one of these later.

Just depends if $20 bucks is worth never having to worry about the psu and also having overhead to add parts in the future (led fans,bay devices,extra hard drives) That Sunbeam is also good enough to follow him into his next machine after this smaller build. It's a monster

The sunbeam is a very good power supply, cheap power supplys will get you cheap results and a lot grief.

I think you took that wrong. I just meant that it's not a power HUNGRY build. There aren't 4 hard drives,2 graphics cards, 5 or 6 LED fans,etc.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, my friend went jumpin the gun and ordered the parts already . I suggested stuff too him yesterday and he ordered it today, and all it was was suggestions, i deffinitely could have found better stuff for his money. Oh well.
