Changing voltages on X800XL? - Page 2

I can change the voltage slightly in my BIOS... I think that was the option... I can't remember the name of it, but I know I can change the AGP voltage (it has something to do with AGP something.... I can't OC my gfx, or it freaks out.

AGP voltage is NOT something you want to increase lol! And also BigVal, that .5v statement was BEFORE I read an article saying that 1.7v is Uber hardcore I decided that 1.45v is my absolute limit and I am not likely to even go over 1.4v Also can you help me with why any BIOS editor I get cannot open up my BIOS dumps?

What error do you get? Have you tried a different bios editor?

Ok now ***! I just downloaded a legit ATI X800XL PCIe 256MB BIOS from tech power up and RaBiT still did not open it! As soon as I clicked open and chose that file, RaBiT crashed as usual. WHY!!?!?!

That was with RaBiT, I also used BiosEdit 1.5 and it shows some stupid error about "ERROR N5, ERROR CLK"

EDIT/// I got RadEdit. It says that the file is NOT A VALID ATI BIOS.......

Attached is RABBIT 1.7. It seems hard to get a hold of lately. But I just checked and there is no voltage setting anywhere to be seen. And I opened the bios file and got no error. I always thought only nVidia voltages could be changed through the bios and ati REQUIRES a hardware mod.

So why did you attatch RaBiT 1.7? That solves none of my problems AND if it did, it still doesn't let you change voltages so that is no good.

You know what, forget it. I will just wait until R580/G80 time.

Well, from what I've known to be true, you cannot adjust voltage on ATi cards through software modifications, period. The only way is a hard voltmod...
