Overclocking 9800 pro

Thread Starter
I have a 9800 pro with a vga silencer

i have overclocked to core = 410.06 memory = 371.25 and have no problems

ive seen some people post things like 425/700 for example where can i find the 700 number or is that the core / memory

im a complete nub...
The 700 is referring to the memory, generally when you see someone posting memory specs that oddly seem to be twice as fast as yours they are posting the "effective" memory speed.

Since its DDR (Double Data Rate) memory we're referring to here, to get the effective speed you simply double it. So in reality that "700" is running at an actual memory speed of 350mhz so be glad your memory is actually running faster

371MHz for the memory is a nice overclock.

I only have my piece o poo POWERCOLOUR at 345MHz stable.

I'm running BBA 9800NP @ 330/360. It can go further but haven't had the time.
