I am not all over them, I have a iMac still running, and as I said they good if you need their software. Oh and that is not a single problem, it is a problem with a lot of the previous version's of the mac book pro's.

Hmm...let's try to not let this turn into bickering.

As for OS X on a pc...I'm almost certain it's still illegal. I'll look again though.

The fact remains Apple's build quality is miles better than any subsidized laptop or cheaply-put-together-PC.

I don't know how long you had your MBP for, but according to your post, "its been out of warranty for years", which tells me your laptop was pretty old to begin with. That's neither here nor there though. You're not going to convince anyone Macs are cheaply built, bottom line.

No matter what anyone says, it IS illegals to run OSX outside of an Apple built computer.

This may not be the general consensus opinion here, but my opinion of macs is they are the average hipster who doesn't know jack about computer's system. Why use a mac which is built for people who don't know what they're doing (with ridiculous amounts of restrictions in OS X to prevent said people from hurting themselves with the computer) when you can get a PC that does the same thing and more?

lolmacs.

I am not arguing with that, I was just saying what I heard.

And my mbp had one year warranty. It is 14months old.

This is just the common misconception of someone who doesn't know better yet. I kinda thought the same thing too until I went out and got my own Macbook Pro. While they do have locks on there, they are a click away from unlocking. You can customize Macs more than you think. They are built on Unix after all.

They're very powerful too. I don't really see how you could think they are only for people who know nothing about computers. I tend to think I'm atleast capable with computers, and I love mine.

As for a PC doing more. While it does play mroe games, I'll give you that. I'll have you know that I administer a network in a corporate setting solely from OS X. So I think it's going pretty well.
