I dont like logitech mice. But what you said sounds like an isolated case as logitech are good for rma.

I bought my 518 when I started playing WOW 4-5 years ago. Since my mous pad is made from headliner material for a car, the feet are fine....maybe slightly polished looking. The rubber started coming off in the first year and is now completely gone where my thumb sits. It is due for a annual cleaning now, but still running WOW like day one.

Over the years, I have collected numerous Logitech devices and not one has failed me yet. I have no choice but to be a Logitech fan.

My 518 is just 1 month old. I bought it as a mouse for surfingon my laptop (I have a DeathAdder Respawn for my gaming rig). Starting to love it now. It is really a great improvement from my old $10 Samsung mouse (which I also liked and have bought 3). You cant get a better mouse for the price of the MX518. DA is better but it costs 2 times as much.

I have a Logitech MX510 (the red predecessor) that still works. It now operates as "the thing that clicks" on my parent's computer back home. What a workhorse, considering it was purchased in late 2004. That thing got worked playing Counter-Strike into the late evenings. I remember buying it specifically because I was dying for two thumb buttons for even quicker CS playing.

I bought mine when they first came out, maybe 6+ years ago. I'm finally looking to replace it.

I had mine over 3 years before it died on me via the cord. Still left me with a very good impression was a great mouse and I would have bought one again if wanted to but decided to try something different.

Had mine for 4+ years now. About to hit 5 soon. I love this mouse. I may need to open it up to do some maintenance though.

3-4 years. still being used with my new 1 day old QCK+.

i have the 1600dpi version.

i might move on to a razer abysus or razer deathadder in the future if this mouse does happen to die. it has not given me any problems yet to date so i'm probably looking at a few more years from it.

I'm probably going to buy 2 when a deal hits again. I am sure to use this mouse for years to come. If anything happens then I will have a backup!

i have one, bought its so small it cramped my hand and had to switch to my old Rosewill gaming Laser mouse. I actually do better with the rosewill, but its probably cuz its bigger and easier to hold.
