Hmmm...new bios. Interesting. I may have to try them out tonight. I'll keep you all posted. I do have some issues with the internet connection (thought it was my router, but it works fine on two other older P4 computers).

Gabkicks, what are your settings?

Well I just did the update. Not sure if it's smooth or not. When I boot, I now get an error 0 on one of my RAID Drives, however it seems to be running fine as I can boot into windows error free. I do have to test further. The LAN issues do seem better, but again, more testing is needed.

As for overclocking, I'm going to see if my original overclock is stable before proceeding any further. I did get a crash with my recently tweaked voltages as there now appears to be a -0.02 variance from the last bios that wasn't there before even with vdroop off. Going to bump it and post results in a bit.

I didn't manually overclock. I just used the EZ OC function in the BIOS for 4ghz. Easiest overclock I ever did. I've only tested OCCT for 1 hour though. Stable so far. Interesting how the motherboard automatically increases the vcore depending on load conditions. I've had one core occasionally get up to 71 during testing, but most hum along in the 60's when stressed hard. I haven't had the urge to upgrade to the newly released 1.60 BIOS yet.

Nice VID. I was never stable with the defaults on the easy overclock settings.

Yeah, but it appears that the board pushes it to almost 1.33 peak at times, again subject to load. See attached OCCT png image shots. Most of the time it's at 1.28 to 1.30 with a few pushes slightly higher than 1.30+. Core2 gets the warmest. Core1 maxes at 70 and cores 3 and 4 max in the high 60's. Perhaps the XMP SPD extension on the Corsair memory helps the board with the automatic overclock? I'm also guessing that, if I were to manually try to achieve the same clock with my particular configuration, I would have to increase the vcore to a point where it would not droop below 1.33 to be OCCT stable for at least one hour. I kind of like this board's automatic voltage adjustments, at least in my case, especially since the overclock still seems to remain stable.

Run "Small Data Set" to put more strain on the CPU. If that happens to pass you've got yourself a good chip. I can pass up to 4.2ghz with HT on with medium data set, but if I put it on small it crashes in 20 min. =)

I set my ram to reccomended timings 8-8-8-24 and voltages.

and i had cpu voltages at 1.35, and vtt @ 1.41. Temps are too high while running prime95 to test for stability that way

I am @ 3.2+turbo (3.33) until i can cut at least 15c off of my full load temps lol

I just ordered some IC Diamond 7 TIM, and if that doesnt drop temps enough, I'll grab an Antec 900 two case...

here is the ocdna profile. i think i may have accidentally set the ram to 1.45 instead of 1.65 before saving it.

I was gonna upload my ocdna profile, but i want to wait till i can do more testing -_-

If you can add more fans to your case, do that before ordering a new case. New TIM might help, what TIM are you using?

I'm using gr-005. I got it from Microcenter. the guy recommended AS5, but i was on a rush out. I Think I have 1 or 2 casefans sitting around. I'll try putting in 1 or 2 fans to see if that makes a difference.

Attached jpg images are of my current BIOS settings. I haven't had a chance to run OCCT Small Data Set yet. I will try to get to it this weekend and let you all know how it goes. Hope this helps.
