Oh, I almost forgot to include this for you with respect to TIM:

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...=150&Itemid=62

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...&limitstart=12

I used AS5. I've used Tuniq TX-2 in the past with above average results, just not as good as the AS5.

yeah thx. i saw that earlier in my search for decent tim. i ended up ordering some IC Diamond 7, and it arrived at my house the next day

Temps are much better than my generic silver stuff, but I dont even think I applied the TIM perfectly. My antec 1200 will be here next week
I am running 3.78ghz currently @ 1.28v w/ vdrop off, and speedstep on

New feature to the club:OCDNA settings, if you think you have a good one that is stable, post it, and I will put it on one of the original posts.

I'm planning on getting an ASRock x58 extreme and have some questions. I am trying to decide on what ram to get and what fans to put on the Prolimatech Megahalems/MegaShadow.

If anyone has this combo, does the HSF block ram slots?
Does it requires low profile ram to fit under the HSF?

What are the voltage ratings for the fan headers?
Can they handle SanAce or Panaflo 38mm fans?

My Xigmatek Dark knight fits okay the megahelm is a bit wider than the DK, though.

Does anyone here know which of the voltage options is the QPI voltage? i dont see it. I have to use 1.3 volts just to do 3.6 (3.78turbo) w/ my D0 i7 920. I'm trying to figure out how to be 24h stable with less voltages.

Hmm i just compared the dk dimensions to the megahalem, and it looks like it'll barely fit. there will be like a half a inch gap if you use all 6 slots. But... it should fit.

Perhaps the XMP SPD extension on the Corsair memory helps the board with the automatic overclock? I'm also guessing that, if I were to manually try to achieve the same clock with my particular configuration, I would have to increase the vcore to a point where it would not droop below 1.33 to be OCCT stable for at least one hour. I kind of like this board's automatic voltage adjustments, at least in my case, especially since the overclock still seems to remain stable.
Did you ever get a chance to run the small data set?
What is the exact model number of your ram?

I'm trying to figure out what ram to get and I like the thought of "it works with EZ-OC out of the box".

Nope, not yet. The RAM can be found here:

Hope this helps. I'll let you know how the small data set test goes.

Thanks, it's even on sale at the moment. Plus it's pretty low profile, and has black heat spreaders which should match most of my case.

so why when i'm OC'ing does the memory stick in c1 all of a sudden not be recognized when i boot? Its not the sticks, i've tried different ones...it just seems to disappear whenever I change setting around to OC in bios...maybe flash to 1.6?

PS. if i back off to 7-7-6-18-74 it see's it...
