You can pass IBT @ maximum w/ 8 threads? i cant pass 2 runs of IBT because the 2nd result is different from the 1st...
:/ After Christmas I plan to upgrade motherboards, one w/ USB 3.0 though.

First ASRock X58 Extreme died after two weeks, the replacement just died today, after about 10 days. Judging by the latest reviews of this board on New Egg, I'm not alone.

I guess you get what you pay for...

Just replaced it with an EVGA board and the quality differences are apparent everywhere, in packaging, materials, heatsinks, literature, website, etc. Lots more overclocking options in the BIOS, too, but the wife forbids any more OC attempts (we're in charge of the family Christmas multimedia presentation, and we can't have this system out of commission any more).

So, best wishes to you all... and my parting advice: be VERY careful pushing this board beyond about 3.7.

IBT Fails on 3, 4 thread and 8 threads, but it PASSES with threads set to AUTO. this is at very high settings for stress level

memtest86 3.4 passed 8 hours (5 passes) at standard settings, but it gives me a bunch of errors if i go to config and change memorysize to "all". I dont know if that is a bug in memtest or what. I tested the ram individually and they all get the same result in the different white slots.

I'd like to join the club. I own a ASRock X58 Extreme and will post some BIOS shots for a stable overclock

Status update - The good news is I won a SATA 3 card from buying this motherboard and registering it on the Asrock website. The bad news is my MB must be fried. I hope it didn't take my CPU or other components out with it, though I have no way to check. It powers on for a second and shuts off immediately. Power supply works though, so I know thats not the problem. I was out of 30 day warranty with newegg, but I contacted them anyway and they are letting me RMA it for a replacement anyway.

In all honesty, I'm probably going to upgrade my MB soon, as I want to run with a higher OC that I know this board is limiting, but its going to have to wait til' after new years, and Im going to have to wait til' the RMA comes back to have a computer. =( I hate being poor with a kid on the way. =/
