did you try setting the voltages to 1.65 or whatever the reccomended timings/ voltages are for your stuff?
how would i go about doing that? do you think that's what my problem is?
the bios recognizes all 3 sticks when i have them in...its just my vista keeps freezing when i try and install it and i don't know what else it could be :-/
post #55 of 329
Setting the ram timings too fast, or the voltages too low/high could cause instability. I'd guess that one of the sticks is bad. but I'm not sure. I'm guessing you have a decent power supply and your hard drive is in good shape?

I haven't bothered myself yet, but You can look it up @ OCZ and get the timings or reccomended timings.

Newegg has some real good deals on openbox asrock i7 mobo's. Anyone know the significant deference between the delux and supercomputer?

I just tried the "easy OC" button in the bios, and set it to 3.7ghz. it spikes up to 4ghz because the speed is still dynamic (turbo mode?) so i could probably do 4ghz easily. do the voltages also change dynamically? realtemp shows load temp max @ 69c for the hottest core after playing a few minutes of ARMA 2.

P6TD Deluxe- Anyone installed the additional fan included anypoint? Whats with these two extra fan options is it worth it?

Well, you can add me to the club for my X58 Extreme.

4.2ghz Overclock Validation

I'll post pics later. Not 100% sure it's stable, but so far from my recent tweaking it hasn't crashed (though all I did to test was play an hour of Crysis). What's everyone's settings to overclock? I'll post mine once I figure out if this thing is stable.
