Asus Bad

I RMAd my Asus A8V Deluxe for a broken ethernet controller. All they did was reload the BIOS and sent it back to me. It's still broken! Windows always says there is no media connected to Local Area Connection!

Be sure to say that it has the latest BIOS and that it must be a hardware problem.

Ouch...
Perhaps you should politely suggest that there error is now there responsibility and that they sholud cover any further shipping expenses on your part.

I see your point... customer service is the issue and it will cost them in the long run.

I RMA'ed my A8N-SLI Deluxe (2nd PCIe slot wouldn't recognize any card put into it, so SLI couldn't run) the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and I just got my tracking number for the return package yesterday. I don't understand why they have to take 5-10 days to get it fixed when all the have to do is see if there really is a problem, throw the damn thing away, and send back a new one. Next mobo I get is DFI.

Oh, and are you sure that the ethernet controller is broken? Did you install the driver on your mobo's support CD?
