Will my RAM run at 800 MHz?

Thread Starter

i just found out by testing that its better to have higher frequencies rather than tighter timmings on ram for games. why did i have to spend all of my savings on pc2 5400 ram with timmings of 3-2-2-4 when i could have had
pc2 8000 for a cheaper price. anyway my question is do you think i can get my ram up to 800Mhz by losening the timmings

heres the link to my ram:

Don't worry dude, no reason to get mad. My 5400UL clocks at over 1000mhz with 5-4-4-10 timings at 2.3v, and it uses the same exact chips as the pc8000. So don't worry, if your ram has stock timings of 3-2-2-4 it's probably got the same chips as mine. Raise the voltage to 2.3v, then fisrt you should be able to do about 700mhz with 3-2-2-4, then about 800 with 3-3-3-6 or 8, 900ish with 4-4-4-12, maybe higher with those timings, then 5-5-5-12 should get you to 1000mhz, as long as you have the same chips in your ram as I think you do
