Ebay + Laptop = ??

Just won a IBM thinkpad t60 (Core 2 Duo E5600, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD)on ebay for $280 (Refurbished). I pay an extra $40 for shipping and wait 1 week for the item Today it arrives with an Intel Centrino Duo Processor... I haven't loaded an OS onto it yet to find out for sure if it's a Core 2 Duo or not as promised or not. What's the difference between the two and what would you guys do ?]

Centrino Duo is just a marketing name for the composition of the system like the AMD Dragon. As i recall Centrino Duo implied a 945GMA express chipset with a Core (2) Duo CPU.

Load up the OS - put CPU-Z and that will tell you everything you need to know.

if the notebook comes with an intel wifi card, then it'll carry the Centrino sticker
if it does not (IE Dell wireless card), it'll carry a Core2Duo sticker.
