fans don't do much do they? i mean it's just circulating air, so i'm guessing small fans do about the same job. It would, however, probably cool your motherboard, depending on what northbridge cooler you have it could be advantageous (how to spell?)

As ghetto as it may seem, it's functional. It'll really drop your temps if you didn't have a case fan there before. Also, if your RAM needs active cooling then you've obviously solved that problem. Plus, it's plugged into the wall right? So no need to strain your PSU.

Dude I'm taking marks off for using such a small fan and the lack of duct tape, what you need is one of those big 20' square fans, there almost exactly the same size as your side panel so you just seat her up, and if your cool duct tape it to the case so that it doesn't just fly away

it seems i have exactly the same fan as you, but a bit taller. Maybe i'll try it out and see what it'll do. LOl, but still i keep my comp in the basement, no heating, and it's snowing crazy outside and it's so cold i can see my breath down here.

Edit: overhead fans fan quite a lot of heat away from that huge lightbulb. I'm thinking about taking a school overhead and adding the fan to my case hope it works. Too cheap to buy actual computer fans.
