Then you want a fresh windows. Back up your hard drive, format and reinstall

I have WinXp Manager and tried speeding up the machine , when I upgraded RAM in order to be sure I formatted the DISK.
C Partition is NTFS and rest all are Fat32.

I think its really bad I am stuck with this machine

Agreed reformatting is always a good thing to get rid of the clutter that is slowing you down.

if your mobo is capable, try and see if it has dual channel capability...if so, get some ram to take advantage of it.

Also, partitions will slow your performance significantly if it is accessing from different partitions. make sure you aren't using a ghost image from Sony, or Dell to reinstall. Use the REAL installer, and start with a blank slate...if it will let you.

post your systems specs in you sig...that might help

check your bios...look for advanced user settings or soft menu...you can adjust your fsb in there...your multiplier is locked so don't even think about boosting that.

other than that...post some screens of your bios and cpu-z and we'll be more easily able to help you

sorry for the triple post...but look at your mobo...if your ram sockets are two different colors...that means you have dual channel capable ram...and your ram needs to be designed for it too. What it does is dedicated a memory controller to just those 2 ram slots and uses them as one unit, with lower latency than a single stick that might be the same size as both of em put together. Also, a gig of ram is kinda standard now a days. good luck!
