If you had the decision what would you choose?

If you were able to tell the creaters of gta (rockstar) what you wanted in the next grand theft auto (it can be for xbox360, ps3, or pc or all) what would you want, such as improvement to already exicting stuff, new items/cars/weapons, and whatever you can creat in your mind.

For me I have a list, but it isnt in order of importance just random order:

1. BEING ABLE TO SEE FARTHER!!!! This has been a thing that has haunted all the gta's since #3.
2. More buildable stats. I like the sort of rpg feel it adds to the game.
3. More creative missions. I have been amazed on how orinagal some of the missions can be and I would like to see that continue.
4. Better textures. Since it will be on next gen tech it better have way better textures. I mean I like the sort of ''cartoon'' look to it, but come on throw in some bumpmapped stuff, and like mabey some aa.
5. Gasoline system. Now this may seem strange to you guys or even annoying , but I would love a gasoline system, but one where like if you were in a muscle car it would suck down more gas than say a stratus. Also the gas prices sort of fluxuate throughout the game.
6. A new engine. Now I do enjoy the current engine, but I would like some ragdoll effects, better more ''realistic'' looking damage vehicals.
7. More customizable parts for your car. I love the low loco sooo much and would love to see more added to the car custmixation part of the game.

That is all i can think of right now. So what do you guys think? Do you like my ideas have some of your own, or just say how bad my ideas suck, lol.

They're good ideas, I've allways wanted to see an environment that you could change, such as burn a house down and throughout the game its burnt down, of course they'd have to make some buildings and such for missions so you couldn't do that sort of thing. Maybe you could wreck into a wall and it'd leave a mark or shoot up the wall and an NPC in the game actually comes to fix the things, or even build new houses? It'd be a very large change but I think it'd make things much more realistic.

Nice I enjoy your ideas. I would love going around burning everything to the ground (pyro in training). I also agree since it is a new generation that we should expect to see major changes in graphics and physics, move out of the way old a** ps2 and xbox gta, here I come NEW GTA!!!! I CANT WAIT!!

Draw distance is probably a limitation of the available RAM on the consoles. I actually never thought it was that bad, as long as the mip-mapping was working correctly (e.g. sometimes in SA the disc would read in the "close" textures too slow and a "far" texture stayed visible far too long).

The biggest thing the series needs is higher polygon counts / better models for people. And more character models, you always see the same exact models walking around. This should be addressed before any next-gen GTAs are released.

The problem with a Gasoline system is that it would be hard to make it "fun". Unless a game mechanic brings something "fun" to the table, you have to question its worth. Especially when it is a consumable resource type of game mechanic.

It would be similar to food in RPGs: back in the day you had to eat or you would die. But why? Why can't we just assume that our characters are eating the same way we just assume that they are going to the bathroom? Same questions with gas: Can't we just assume that the cars we jack have gas in the tank? What is the "fun value" of stopping at Shell and waiting for a fill-up?

A compromise might be that all cars have unlimited cheap gas, but you could purchase hi-octane gas to make the car faster. But they already have nitro in GTA, and arguably a better game mechanic to do the same thing would be the ability to upgrade your engines. I like that better because it leads down the road of "Okay, what else can I upgrade?" New tires for better cornering, lighter body for more air on jumps, etc. Personally I just jack cars left and right, I never keep them around for long; but someone might have fun with this, maybe if they have done it before in racing games.

Just my thoughts.

I would number 7. More customizable parts for your car. I love the low loco sooo much and would love to see more added to the car custmixation part of the game.
because I love to customize things. for example I sold my console for the sole reason of not being able to upgrade it and being stuck with what I had

You have made some good points vulcan, and I was thinking ion my math class today, well the main bottleneck of the consols I think is the ram, but I don't know how much is in there. Since you can't of the things they might as well have at least 512 for the system, but it is gonna take alot to render all the next gen graphics.
