This is just a total guess but I think it renders three frames ahead and stores them in video memory. The drawback would be that it takes up memory but it should help keep the video nice and smooth. I just make that up, but it sounds logical
XD thanks...so would it be beneficial to me to change that from 3 to like 5 or 6...also in the BIOS theres a maximum payload size option and since my vid card is 256mbs I THINK thats like AGP apeture size or something...what would be a good setting for my card?
The AGP aperature doesn't really affect anything unless you put it too low. In a nutshell, if the video card runs out of ram, it will use system ram, and that setting is the max it can use. But the space is not reserved, so if the video card is not using it, other programs can still use it. So it's just fine at 256MB. I didn't make that up
