The Accelero S1 Rev 2 is about as cheap as it gets and should fit reference 4890's. You may possibly need some extra mosfet cooling, but the included VRM sinks and two 92mm fans zip-tied on should work great.

I thought I added a column for part-no but it's not there which is weird . Will try to update the form.

it cools at like 45 idle 65 load with low fan speed which, according to newegg(listed as scythe 1000), is 12.5 db. This is the cheapest one of only a few coolers that will work in conjunction with the red plate. You need to keep the red plate on because the VRM's get too hot for aftermarket coolers except you can get a thermalright cooler just for the vrms but that alone is 40 USD. Musashi is the best way to go in my opinion

MUSASHI from me too!28 euros and u get like 35 heatsinks for every component u want+adjustable fans and it performs excellent!!!

I forgot what my stock temps were with HD4770 heat sink.

Xfired HD4770 with TR HR-03 (rev. A).

In Xfire both GPUS 920/1050 idles around 26 degrees C. and full load high 30s low 40s.

No. I had to notch out an area to slide in the Corsair H50 tubes to externally mount its radiator. Single unit. Can't take the tubes apart.

The H50 radiator wouldn't fit well with my configuartion inside of the Antec 900 case so i put it outside.

Closer look.

I added my ventures with a XFX 4870 (HD-487A-ZWFC aka non reference egg cooler) and the Akaska Vortexx Neo. There were two problems, one being the usual capacitor layout which was solved by trimming one edge of the RAMsink. The other problem was with the regulator heatsink, which is apparently also different than the reference card. It was around 6mm too tall, which I was able to loosen/offset the plastic housing on the cooler and allow the core's sink to sit flush. This allows some air to exhaust in the case, and I'm sure it changes the airflow dynamics internally for the cooler, but I'm sitting at 790/1100, and running around 16C lower than the stock cooler/clocks, and all the hot air is exiting the case (running a poor flowing case, it makes all the difference with the air exhausting outside rather than inside).

The copper surface on the sink looked pretty rough, so in the future a good "lapping" session is in order once I get in a new Zalman sink for the regulators so I can close up the plastic assembly.

UPDATE: I took off the heatsink as I was going to smooth-out the copper surface but the mounting lugs that are on the heatsink are pressed in, and I don't want to damage them by trying to pull them out. So until i get to change out the regulator sink, these are about the best temps I can get....for now.
