I think it would be better to customize the settings yourself. That's just my opinion.

Well it depends if you're running 128MB or 256MB...I would think mostly High settings for a 256MB. I would knock down textures to medium, dynamic shadows, and terrain leave the others on high to see how they work. Only use High settings for the things you feel are most important. I have all mine on High w/ maybe 3 on Medium at 1280x960 and it runs fine on my 9800PRO. I do get some stutter at hte beginning or on crappy servers but it clears up after a few seconds

And yes it is a pain to figure out which settings work best since the shaders need to be optimized but once you do it once you wont have to do it again until you get a new card

You really just have to play around with them your self. Every computer is different in the terms of whats on there partition and what drivers you are using. Just test stuff out, and find the best FPS/with no stuter, good luck.

All medium with AAx2 at 1024x768 will run flawless.

turn everything high except lighting and AA. Set Lighting as low as possible and AA to 2X. If that's good then start turning up the lighting settings.

1024x768, everything on medium and 4x AA will run fine.
You might be able to up the resolution, if you get lag at the beginning of the maps then turn textures down to low, it wont effect much visually but it makes a huge difference performance wise. I run the game at 1280x1024 and everything high except textures on medium and 4x AA and its just fine. You need over 1gig of ram for textures on high if you dont want any lag at the beginning.
