Accelerator nozzels make a BIG difference in DD products!

I got a new 6600gt and was installing it last night, along iwth a maze 4 for it and a brasstop for my rbx..

When I took my rbx apart the accelerator plate was jammed in there sideways and the rubber was halfway ripped off..

So I just decided to take the accelerator plate out and ditch it, though maybe i'd get a 1-2c increase in temps doing that, but im building a chiller anyways so screw it...

Well anyways, before my comp idled at 28c, and full load at 33c (on stock clock) Now im idling at 27c with 48c full load!

I reset my block twice, AND my room temps are low (72f right now, usually around 74-76f)

So now before I finish up my chiller project im definetly gonna order some new accelerator nozzles..

Just letting everyone know cause I don't remember seeing a post saying how big of a difference the nozzles make.

This is a bit off topic, but your TDX does it have a lucite or copper top? Lucite will crack at low temps aso you'd best get a copper top, also get yourself a few O rings because they do not handle sub zero temps well either.

RBX

And I had the lucite before, but I bought the brass top to replace it, and thats when I ditched the accerlator nozzle

Quick question, how does an accelerator nozzel change anything? I mean, how can it accelerate water if its going throught the same size tube?

Well, without any accelerator nozzel, the water just enters the block, and immedietly trys to go out the exit tube.

With the nozzel, it FORCES the water to go over the cpu directly..

I think the term 'accerlate' is a little misleading, since honestly it probably slows down your flow a little bit.. But it makes the water flow faster and with more pressure directly over your cpu..

I hope that makes sense? lol
