(which my card is at anyways) The Leadtek Extreme ($250 More) is 490/1250. Go with a known brand and you'll have no issues. Dont pay through the nose for extra clock speed you can safely implement yourself.
Do you know of any card from any manufacturer that has changed the ram? Any links?

I bought the MSI card, was a bit cheaper than some listed on newegg.com. I have it OC'd to 480mhz and 1.31Ghz. Runs fine, day in and day out.

But eVGA is highly rated and is OCed from the factory and also comes with a lifetime warrenty.

I paid about $300 for my eVGA 7800gt and it came clocked at 470/1200. I think it was a BIOS misteak but maby not, anyway, its perfectly stable, no artifacts and runs games flawlessy

it's not a BIOS mistake. eVGA sells that card overclocked by the factory. it's normal

Sorry sccr it was a generic statement - I'm not aware nor been able to find anything on the 7800's at all. I was thinking back to my ATI 9600pro/XT days when there where multiple Memory brands used.
