Ok...I am buying a new video card and wondering which one I should buy. I have a link of a gigabyte's 6600gt. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125179
If I should not get this one which one should I get? I can afford any card under $200, so if there is one that is better plz tell me.

Look for the eVGA 6800 AGP8x for around $180-$190.

it's good for most gaming things. I mean it's no 7800GTX 512, but it'll do for an agp card, besides it's a waste to get the best agp there is. This card is definately good. Get Leadtek, gygabyte, evga, XFX isn't that bad either. One of them, i like leadtek (personal preference).

The 6600gt is a good card for the money, I just picked one up for $140 off new egg (Evga 6600gt agp)

However for $200, you might as well go with a 6800gt since its faster.. But if your set on saving money, the 6600gt is a great card for the cash..

I haven't done much tweaking yet, but I got 7950 3dmark03's with it stock, and 9000 with it at 600/1,100

edit: also if your psu's not top of the line, don't be too worried.. I have a crappy FSP 350watt psu with 21amp max on the 12v rail, and it holds up just fine

Never drop below 11.81v with it, and I left my cpu + gpu at full load all night

Thx for the help guys. I think I am going to get the 6600GT, for now. Then in a year or two I will buy a nicer card like the 7800.
