AM3 Score

Thread Starter
Right, this is doing my had in. My AM3 Score of 107,431 seems low. I notice DeathDispenser has a GFX score of 21,846 but has 7800GT sli. Now I have 7800GTX 512mb SLI but can only get 17,367. My CPU is clocked at just under 3Ghz for this benchmark. Even though Death has a lower CPU score, is it because he has an X2 that he is getting a better gfx score. Does the X2 deal with SLI better? Or is there just some simple setting that I am completely missing. All my other 3DMark scores are fine, its just my AM3 thats low.

Cheers people

There are many factors that will influence your AMQ3 score.... drivers, memory timings, cpu speed, GPU clocks, services, misc system activity, age of OS build.

The latest drivers do allow for some improvement if a dual core is operational... but do look at your mem timings and get their speed up... you may find that running CAS 2-3-3-5 around the 240-250 mark will help you out.

If could also be that AQM3 is not fully aware of the 512 and maybe casuing it some confusion... I recall seeing a reg entry that can set what GPU mem size is ---- but having only 128Mb on my wee cards I didn't take a note of that link, maybe someone else will have that link for you.

I am running 1.5-3-3-3 at the moment, cannot get any lower. Its a 2day old Operating system with every consevable performance reducing setting switched off . I'm gonna give "alternate-frame rendering" a try tonight. But that memory reg change looks promising... Any info on that would be greatly appreciated

I tried the different rendering settings and it made no difference in scores. It could be something else. adas and I have almost the same rig and his AM3 score kills mine.

What I recall is that it was via a tool like Cool Bits ... it may also be to do with incompatible GPU mem sizes... hence a threory of AQM3 and >512 issue .. maybe.

Other things to consider is that the GPU OC could be too hard, even if no artifacts.

CPU Speed will always help you out, even I can pull 102K with the 66GTs but at 3.4G on the CPU.

Drivers as we have discussed... and also memory... try different dividers and CPU combinations to max out the CPU & Mem together.

Make sure that .dll is also loaded too...
