cpu at 17C

Thread Starter
last night I had all of my windows open to see how well I could overclock since it was really cold. Let it idle till it got to 17C!!! oc'd my 3500+ to 2761Mhz before BSOD. load temps were 35C. The 3500+ is really not all that great of an overclocker and I really didnt see any performance gains. A few more FPS in BF2 and UT2K4. I guess that just explains how important your cpu temp is when overclocking.

Other factors may have come into play. One that I can think of is a power supply that wasnt up to the task.
