Great post, and it made me realize I really am paying more..for just having great products, but not all are really fully useful. I have put a stop, and will wait and see what new products will come out. I really don't have the budget to buy NEW and overpriced items. I am willing to wait, and see if the technology offered, if worth the wait to save though.

Are you planning to CF in the future? If you're only going to use 1 card then you only need about a 550w~650w power supply and it's still PLENTY of power. So many people overestimate power usage. *waves hand* I have a 850w PSU futureproofed for 2 cards, yet my entire system currently outputs 302w. My only regret is that I should have saved $30 or $40 and gotten the 700w version of my PSU. That money could have gone into more important areas like better graphics, or even into my pocket.

I'm not sure about you, but how I spend my money is very important to me. Buying an expensive 850w PSU and highly-priced graphics card is not worth it. You could save a ton of money by going with a 700w PSU and a 5850, perhaps crossfiring down the road if you really need to. If not, well then right now you can easily CF 5770's with a 700w PSU and beat the performance of a 5870. They scale great and even cost less than one 5870.

As for hard drives, I may not be much experienced in them but, once again, I can tell you that $400 on raptors is not worth it. It's old tech that really wasn't a great improvement. If you're looking to spend $$ here for great performance then I'd recommend getting an SSD for your OS and main applications, and any generic drive to store things.

Wonder which of the 3 should I get from the Scythes.. If I decide to go that route. There is a $2 diff between each model (3 of them).
For the Panaflo you will need to get 38mm clips. If you do decide to get the SFlexs get the highest dBA you can tolerate. I would recommend going with the Panaflo because of a better bearing and more static pressure.

the haf 932 is cool but the antec 300 is i believe just as big but half the price
He has the budget, why not go with a great PSU. The 850HX has ~90% efficiency and a 7 warranty, not to mention its Corsair. If you are looking to save money get a 750TX. Also the 300 is no where near a HAF with cable management, airflow, or size. The HAF is (L)3.4x(W).9x(H)3.5 in bigger then the 300 adn the cable management is awesome.

If you're gaming, get Sennheiser HD555s or AD700s.

Otherwise, your build looks awesome, but I'd like to see some P6T action.
I forgot to mention this earlier. Go with the AD700s for gaming and the Zalman Clip on mic.

I was originally going to get the 750TX because I was planning on crossfiring my 4890s. My system is probably pushing 300w also and im sitting here with an 850w psu . Only reason I got the 850 over the 750tx because they were the same price after rebate, which I still didn't get :swearing:. Its only been 2 months since I mailed it in so ill wait a little longer until i start complaining.

its also not very hard to cut holes to make the case flow better the 300 has awesome air flow and is half the cost cutting a hole or 3 for cable management costs nothing
and i understand the corsair is a good psu but so is the ocz why spend 170 when you can spend 99 with a 30 mir

I didn't read all the posts, so I'm sure this has been suggested, but consider dropping the 2 velociraptors and getting a single SSD for your OS and games with 1 large, cheap storage drive.

Lol, did you put up that avatar. Thanks for the advice, and yeah a lot of people tripped on the 2x Raptors. That that I'm a lil' more informed, a SSD does sound great. Just not now, not for the price. I mean, crap... this one is hard to think on.

It looks like I should be getting that Intel one, that's $415ish.

Just get a 60GB or 120GB for OS and games and then a 1TB for storage

This computer's point in life was to play COD4#2... What's the point now? They have no dedicated servers, and that means competitive play will suffer dramatically.

@!#@!$#%%^$#*~!

I guess I can spend money on the samsung syncmaster, and buy a ps3. Call it quits, no one cares about us PC lovers anymore. They just want to market those BS consoles... If Crysis really does fall into the console category, and leaves the PCs out on more fun... then it's official. I am crossing over to the goody-2-shoe-side.

I'd rather not... I just got really dissapointed.

PC market loses 1 costumer, and so does COD4#2.

I will not budge, until I see COD4#2 is really going to work out for competitive play.

Thanks to everyone, I will upgrade my system specs... as a future system spec. You guys made this happen, thanks for your support. I now have a list I can work with.

For the foxconn bloodrage, does it come with a sound card? Will I want one in the future for a sexy AD 700
