What would a Semperon 3100+ paris core be equal too at 2.5Ghz?

Just curious. I'm running my Semperon at 2.25Ghz but am limited because of my power supply. (The powerstream is in the mail from NCIX). When I get the powerstream I don't doubt I'll jit 2.5 since I'm on water and my temps are fine.

What would that cpu be equivalent too do you think??

Thanks

It's about a 3400, at 2.5 it'd be more like a 3700 or 3800. PS the rating's are in comparison to a pentuim 4, you times clock speed by 9 and divide by 6. ( 3 and 2 would work the same ) This is because pentuims have 6 op's per clock and AMD's have 9 per clock. In otherwords AMD would do just the same as a pentuim at 2/3rds the speed.

When you say 3700 or 3800, like a semp 3700 or A64 3700??

I ask because when I was doing a bit of research the numbering scheme for Semp's is to comparable Celery's not P4's. Thats why an A64 2800 is better then a semp 3100

Thanks for the Quick reply tho.

2.5 ghz no SSE3.. Probably a 2.4 ghz A64.. The cache doesnt dramatically do too much to Semprons and A64's (though more is always better).

The athlon 3700, s754 one runs at 2.4 ghz right? =) It was all just rough estimates, IMO the sempron even beats pentuims atleast gaming. AMD don't have much on Intel for App's.

Good thing I don't run apps for speed, unless firefox counts

Games is where its at. Yeah when I run Sandra and compare to non dual core cpu's its pretty close. The best CPU's are only about 30% faster at stock speeds. But they cost oh 800 dollars.

In Sandra is says my CPU is equivalent to a FX-53 (2.4 ghz) and beats out a Pentium 4 at 3.8.
