Does the printer still show up in your printer control panel?

I'm sorry i haven't answered in a week, yes it does still show up in control panel. i deleted it from system properties. I thought on the start up XP would see a new device and ask for drivers. Is it possible to reset the comp back to default settings? The thing that really sucks is i have about 500 $ in print cartridges. I've had this thing for at least 10+yrs with out a hiccup and we all know when you stop mechanical things with age on it it'll take a dump. All my other print/scanners are USB.

OUrs will do that some times to and to get it working again. We down loaded the remove drives for our printer from HP.I used that to remove the old drives then reinstalled the new drivers again and it works just fine now
