System Freezes, Need Ideas

I just finally got my system fairly stable but now my system freezes when I play games. It took a long time through error checking and benchmarking to get my setup stable but unfortunately I never tested with actual gameplay. Anyone got any ideas?

Previous Errors:
System Reset
*apparently GeIL ONEs unstable @ 400 MHz OC'd past 230 FSB

ASUS P4P800-e Deluxe
2.8E @ 3.5Ghz (250FSB)
2GB (4x512) GeIL ONE series @ 2-2-2-5 (320Mhz)

I know what you mean. It's no fun when you spend hours upon hours testing your system for stability only to have your games crash . I have been going crazy trying to troubleshoot my system and have arrived to the conclusion that my motherboard crapped out on me. I would try running everything at stock speeds and see if the problems go away. Then OC your components one by one, testing for stability each time.

Melcar, nice to know you felt my pain... Fortunately my pain came to an end... especially after I spent $400 on the cause of that pain (Geil ONE series 4x512).

Jrabb... bullseye!!! Spent the entire time messin with my water cooler thinkin it didnt keep my prescott cool.... then on to my timings thinking it was too tight... all the while I forgot I adjusted my dram idle timing and refresh ratetherefore causing instability with my ram... got it stable @ 3.36Ghz / 2-2-3-5 ... was focusin on 2225 cuz I spent so much on the ram but i guess u gotta settle for what works... still pretty impressive results considering the facts (had a geforce 5200, 2.8E prescott w/ 2GB of single channel ram: 8,000 aquamark3). BTW if anyone is specialist in voltage, please fill me in, cuz everything works fine in "auto" but obviously i'd like to optimize my rig as much as I can...

Dood you gotta read the guides..
IMO your doing it all wrong.
You gotta OC your components seperately to find out what the max oc's are for each.
THen you gotta put that into gogars calculator..
Then you test a few configs to see what performs best.
THen tighten timings and memtest.
Then torture test.
THen its stable

just FYI

If your vid card is OC'd too much it will freeze/hiccup/crash games. But your comp will run crap like OCCT and prime95 completely stable as these programs dont touch the vid card. Even 3dmark05 might run fine, but games will show signs of too much OC.
