3200+ venice or 2500+ venice?

OK, i have to choose. do i get the 3200+ or the 3500+ ???
iv been told the both great chips. the £30 price difference isnt bothering me that much. the rig mostly gets used for gaming and general college stuff ( im a computing degree student). iv been converted from intel, altho i love my northy!

I think they basically have the same top OC. I've also read in a few places that the 3500+ isn't a very good value. I'd do the 3200+ if I were you, and save the cash. Also though, if you can find them, consider the Opteron 144 or 146.

If you can, go for a 3700 san Diego, i dont think the 3500 venice is too far off in price. But if your forced between the two, get teh 3200.

i dont wanna major oc or anything 2.2/2.4 would b fine , i`ll still be running my fx 5700le on agp and im having trouble deciding on ram. ASrock SATA2 is on its way.

3200+ ... the 3500+ won't be money well spent in your situation and you should get a lot more OCing with the 3200+ than what you seek with very little difficulties even with a stock FHS

Well if you just try it, and follow one of the many guides on this site, eventually you'll overclock fine, and you won't be new to it anymore. I'd tell you to take a risk and dive into it, but there really is no risk.
