2700/11= 270, so also CPU/11
2700/11= 245

haha, Sorry.

Sham...He was trying to say the samething i am. I think we were typing at the same time lol.

But look what you just did Sham.. seems to me like you lowered your multiplier to 10.
270HTTx10=2700

YOur stock would be 200x11 which is 2.2ghz

What I was showing is NOT the HTT but your Ram speed.

2700/15 = 180

Your ram is 180mhz, your htt is 270 meaning you're using a divider maybe around 133mhz?

Basically. If you take your clock speed and divide it by whatever cpu-z gives, you will get your memory clock speed. So your diving ratio would be speed/#given by cpu-z

question remains...Where in the world did cpu-z get that number?

here are the following ratios:

3/2 = 133
6/5 = 166
1:1 = 200

GoT IT..... I think

3/2 =1.5 = 133mhz divider
6/5= 1.2 = 166mhz divider
1:1 = 200

heres what I think......

lets go over what cpu shows. For instance in my case its "CPU/12"
I'm using a 166 divider, from the char above thats 6/5... and 6/5 = 1.2. take out the decimal and you got 12.....

Now take your HTT (280 in my case) and divide by 12 and you get 233 (speed of my ram)

You can also take 280 and divide by (6/5) and get 233.

Now if my divider was 133 or 3/2 then it would 15 in the cpu-z because 3/2 = 1.5, take out the decimal and you get 15

Either i'm right or I pulled it out of my arse, but hey all the numbers worked out.

cpu/12 = 6/5 or 166 divider
cpu/15 = 3/2 or 133 divider
cpu/11 = 1/1 or 200

Did some more calculations while i was browsing other peoples cpu-z and what i posted above seems to only work with 10x multi...or i think...
i'm so lost

DDR400=1/1=CPU/CPU Multiplier or (cpu core speed/multi=ram speed)
DDR200=1/2=(CPU/Multi)/2

Ok guys?
So the 11 is just the multi your using.

The A8N SLI MoBo Memory Dividers look like this.

200=1:3
266=2:3
333=3:4
400=1:1

I have just updated the bios.

I still get CPU/17. I dont know what this emans. I have not put in a divider.

I understand how it works for CPU/11, but not CPU/17.

HTT is at 246Mhz, Ram Mhz on bios is 400MHz, but on CPUid 159??????

May have solved own problem.

HTT=246
Ht Multiplier=4x
Multiplier=11x
Memclock Timing (Mhz - as it comes up on my bios)=400Mhz

The memclock timing was at 233Mhz whenevr I overclocked. this happened automatically, I didnt tocuh it, so presumably, ot was putting in its own divider for some UNKNOW reason.

When i changed it to 400Mhz, the CPUZ shows CPU/11

So following formula - 2700/11=246

Frtewuency of RAM is 246!!!

Have I done a complete muckup.

Please have a look at scrrenshots and inform

Thanks so much.

The Memclock timing used
