geforce 6800 overclock question

Thread Starter
Ok, I got a XFX Geforce 6800 Vanilla card today and unlocked the Vertex Shaders and Pixel Pipelines...Ok, so when I go to overclock my memory it wont go higher than 770mhz (my card came with 750mhz stock memory) but i have the core clock at 400mhz which is fine...I also checked for artifacts with ATI tool and none found... should i put the pipes back to normal, overclock THEN activate the Pixel Pipe lines?

Edit: try putting more volts through your card.

Go to the BIOS and increase the voltage for the AGP/PCI-E card... no hands-on labor required. =)

Did you even attempt to overclock after you increase the voltage on the card?

By the way, its a MYTH, but VideoCards need a certain burn-in time (Time to 'settle' in other words), and then you can push it.. Personally, it worked for me, i got a new card, and i couldnt oc it at all, and now i can push it 100+Mhz.. =)
