Hynix will shortly begin to sample its GDDR4 products to leading graphic chipset suppliers and plans to start mass production in early 2006.
Hopefully for us, this will occur quick enough to give NVidia and ATI time to implement it in their next array of cards. As soon as the technology proliferates, it hopefully will be priced similar to ddr3. I mean, they can't hope to sell a product like gddr4 to only enthusiasts. Even if its performance is through the roof, there just aren't enough to make it worth while.

Im not worried, its always good to see technology advance!

if you got a x800xl or something simalar, your set for a good long while yet. when cards get to 32pipes, thats when ull want to think about replacing your current card, and by then, ddr4 should be in full swing oh and hynix arent the only company to have ddr4, samsung do too.
