Logitech Z-2300 or X-530?

Thread Starter
So basically, my parents lets me pick what stuff I get to buy for Christmas (thank goodness, I wouldn't really like it if my parents just decided to get me clothes), and one of the things I had in mind was a new speaker system for my upcoming PC I'm trying to assemble.

I had in mind the Logitech X-530, which I guess is an entry-level surround sound system. Now, I don't really care for 'entry-level' since I heard a lot of my friends having surround sound systems and never going back because they really could hear the difference just because it was 5.1. Plus, it's really around $50-60 if I shop right.

Now, my brother, instead, recommends me the Logitech Z-2300, which is a 2.1 stereo system, but both the speakers and subwoofer give me more watts (ultimately sounding twice as loud as the X-530) than the X-530. Also, it is THX certified. The cheapest I can find this is for around $100.

But let's not even worry about pricing right now. Which is really better? But hey, if you can find me an even better one with a good performance/price ratio, then suggest it to me! I don't want to skimp too much on my speaker setup but I don't want it to end up making my music sound horrendous.

Thanks.
(Oh yeah, about my sound card, don't even worry about that. I'll be getting (maybe) an Audigy2 ZS or something of the like.)

that is SO much more than the x-530. The x-530 is now like 60$ canadian, so probably like 40$ US. what your showing him is like 3-4x more...
