Guess I spoke too soon about the lack of bug reports.
Someone on the GSM forums posted about a bug which causes GameSave Manager to crash. After a few posts back and forth, I've discovered the cause; if GSM is set to "detect all gamesaves" but it can't find a Steam Cloud and/or Steam Cache directory, it will send a empty string to the detection engine which results in a error and GSM freezing.
I've fixed this issue, but I am currently in the process of formatting my computer (currently typing this on my Netbook). As a result, I haven't got a clue as to when I'll release a new program build.
For now though, here's now to fix the issue YOURSELF:
- Navigate to your Steam Installation directory (the default directory is C:\\Program Files (x84)\\Steam).
- Create a folder called "userdata". Within this directory, create another folder (can be left as "New Folder").
- Within the "%steam%\\steamapps" directory (where "%steam%" is the directory described in Step 1), create another folder (again, this can be left as "New Folder" if you wish).
Remember, you only need to perform the steps above if you have selected "detect all gamesaves" AND don't have a "Steam Cloud" and/or "Steam Cache" account on the system.
I will try to get the new program build compiled by the weekend, but no promises.
