This thread is more of neglected then dead (keep forgetting about it.)

Unfortunately, you are correct. but if you manually restore them, GSM can take care of the rest in the future, in the mean time if you need additional assistance, I or InsaneMatt can help with supplying the information you need to restore your game saves to there correct paths.

OMG what a bull ache. lol, ive already done one game save for StreetFighter IV. Maybe you can tell me if there is a quicker and better route.

What i did was:
Started SFIV, if created a new save. I then replaced the new folder with my old folder from my external. worked fine.
Just means its going to take an ice age to do each game.

There might be, I was just thinking, if someone did a backup of what is currently being detected then switched the files inside the gsba archive with there personal files via the same format it was created in that could possibly work (possible new feature idea? ignore this, I am just rambling on before I forget it)

Down side is that's currently not possible, Yeah its going to take you a while, you could use the GSM3 Concept(http://www.gamesave-manager.com/?s=download&t=alpha ) to list the gamesave locations if you don't know where they reside (Dont use it to backup / restore)

If We manage to think of a quicker way then we will let you know, most likely what will happen is if we think of anything you will of probably restored them manually by then.

What you can do is restore your saves when you want to play that game? saves you doing a bulk load of restoring all in one go.

Yeah, thanks. I think thats what i will do, just restore each game when i get round to playing it. Some of my saves ill prob never use again.
But ill have to use GSM next time round, already added it to my Rocketdock.

It's almost here ladies and gentlemen.
The first non-Concept release of GameSave Manager v3.0 has been released; not long now!

GameSave Manager v3.0.063.0 has just been released as a Beta. This means all features (currently planned to be implemented) have been added and everything is fully functional. As it appears to be stable, we've skipped the 'Alpha' release and went straight to Beta.
While it is stable for myself and GekzOverlord, there's still a chance it'll have some issues we haven't noticed and thus I'm not confident enough to release it as ' Stable'.

So please try this release out; download it from our Downloads page or directly using this link.
I'm hoping to release it as 'Stable' within a fortnight, so finger's crossed.

NOTE: As this is a Beta, and uses a different database structure to the current stable release, Database Updates may lag behind a little.
