OCZ Gold VX or GeIL BH-5 - Page 2

DaGuv... of the two the GeIL BH modules will be the better choice, they are currently no. 1 on that other forum's list, running at 275.5. My own ES versions do 272 although they are 256Mb modules and listed there also.

With any of these modules there is a lot of luck required and you may have to burn them in...but at least the GeIL's are rated to 3.8v which is where you will have to push them to get these speeds.. Make sure you have good active cooling on them.

Good Luck with them.

My stacker's insanely good cross-flow fan will be able to deal with this

Thanx again all. Don't know what I'd do without www.overclock.net

I used some super cheap Twinmos Speed Premium BH5 modules I got to insane timings of 1.5-2-2-6 1T timings @ 250 3.6v on my DFI board, not issues at all, so another alternative there out of the options you give though, i'd get the Geil one BH5.

TwinMOS doesn't make their RAM with BH-5 anymore. They use Powerchips now. Believe me, if they still used BH-5, I would've jumped on 'em so fast. Most of the value RAM that had BH-5 before don't have it anymore, as the manufacturers wised up to it, I think. I think the only value RAM modules that still have BH-5 chips is GeIL Value Blue.

Look for part number GE1GB3200BHDC on the RAM.
