Limewire visual corruptions Help!!

Thread Starter
Greetings everyone, I have been grappling with a problem for the past couple of weeks. Ever since I have downloaded the Nvidia 81.95 driver, when I use Limewire Pro 4.9.37 I get tons of visual corruptions. I have tried everything including un-installing Java and re-installing it with a fresh copy. I don't want to revert to an earlier Nvidia driver as 81.95 seems to be working the best minus this issue. Are there any other suggestions? I have attached a picture to this post. Notice the center of the screen being blank and the other sections that I have circled in red. Thats just the tip of the iceburg, because I can't see what I am downloading or what the search results are. Thanks for the help in advance.

What version of Java are you using?
If you are using anything other than 1.4.2 this could be your problem,If you are using this version then they haven't patched it yet to compensate for the newer drivers.

Yeah I did some checking around and found that Java 1.4.2 fixed several issues in Limewire's GUI and is the most compatible.

I used to have that same problem too when I had my 6800 running with the latest drivers. The whole interface was corrupted and when I did get it to work, the whole thing lagged horribly. I have not noticed problems with ATI cards and drivers.

I switched to 1.4.2 and it still does it. Any other suggestions?

Just want to say that Peer to Peer software itself is not illeagal. Using it to transfer copywritten material is.
Anyway, I had problems with limewire and my nVidia drivers as well, but what it would do to me is reset my refresh rate to 60Hz. I have no idea why and I never fixed it. I don't use Limewire often anyway, so it doesn't bug me. I guess it's just an incompatability between nVidia's drivers and that program.
