Phenom MSR Tweaker on windows 7 - Page 4

There is an active thread re: PhenomMSRTweaker started by the program's author, and you might try asking there. It's on xtremesystems.

Remember to disable PhenomMSRTweaker when you change your overclock, or you'll get the same error.

I had some issues with this program. Some times one or two cores would be running at full speed while others would be at the lowest performance state (it was set up properly...).

I did double check that. It was in ganged mode. What was strange that while two, three cores might be at 100% speed, the last one would fluctuate between the lowest and highest P state constantly. It's a very nice program though.

Side note: While using it a thought came across my mind... wouldn't it be possible for a virus to adjust your CPU voltages to cause damage? I was surprised how much this program could do despite being so small and easy to install.

Related to your side not.

Yeah I've thought of that too, it would seem quite an evil virus to get but I understand where you're, but don't give anyone any ideas here tongue.gif but I think it would require some good programming to work, as it would only work on a few select systems as every machine is different when dealing with over clocking some might just lock and shut down, a common user would think its nothing and call a tech, the tech would either fix the machine by reinstalling the OS or something similar and most cpus have a shut off thing these days in bios when it hits a certain temperature either to quickly its maximum threshold

Related to your first paragraph,
make sure you've disabled and core performance boost and bios or motherboard cool and quiet settings , otherwise if you really want it working, without the hassle of figuring it out reinstall tongue.gif but ignore that last about reinstalling tongue.gif as sometimes its the easy way out tongue.gif
