Folding on a laptop

Thread Starter
Would there be any negative effects on a laptop (compared to a desktop) from running it 100% load all the time from something like folding?

Im considering a laptop cooler to keep the temps down but even so I want to make sure its ok.

If you continuously leave the laptop plugged in (F@H is CPU intensive and will put a strain on the battery, so leaving it plugged in is beneficial to keep the CPU at 100%) it will slowly drain the battery and possibly make it not hold a charge any more. My laptop battery has been dead for quite some time so I just leave it plugged in. Other than the battery issue you should be ok.

I think flipping it upside down or making sure the fan can blow air out and you should be fine. Although Id throw everest home on and watch temps.

So even when it's pluged in the battery will die?
If you leave it that way continuously yes. It'll eventually die and never be able to hold a charge again due to heat wear.
