Nice renders, did you make those textures or download them online?

I am a texture artist. I made all the textures myself in photoshop. And there is a LOT more where that came from.

It installs fine in 7, get SP1 via the Autodesk log in area, runs a little smoother.

Here's a few of my stuffs. Some for work, some personal, mostly w.i.p.'s, just what I have on photobucket atm. All modeled/textured/lit blah blah blah by yours truly.

In reference to ver. 2010, I really gotta agree. Between the integration of polyboost and realtime shader capability in the viewports = winsauce. I'm also really liking the layer setup for composite shaders, even though it's technically an '09 addition. Toss in some vray RT (especially if you've got a small farm to run it) and you've got a very solid well rounded setup.

Wow. I am impressed. I got pretty decent with 3D Max back in the day, like 5 years ago. That was in high school. Sadly nothing that I ever made remains after a few epic hard drive failures.

I really like your character/creature models. I've dabbled in Zbrush a little but it was the second version that they released. I know recently its become far more 3D oriented. There are really few other software packages that can compare when it comes to creating such models with the speed that Zbrush enables.
A+

And that chick looks pissed.

Thanks man. Yeah, Z's come a long way. I actually use mudbox as well though. Z has developed quite a good array of tools that are very useful, but considering it dev life it's still a very buggy app. I've found that for a lot of the commonly needed operations mudbox is not only far more straightforward, but produces consistent results. I also do all of my re-topolgy in max. The retopo tools in zbrush is one of those things lacking consistency. You just never know if it's going to work correctly or not, & if it doesn't you just boned a couple hours.

But I really like the way things have developed the passed couple of years. You can start a concept sculpt, wether it be organic or hard surface, in Z w/ nearly total disregard for topology. Then go back and essentially just draw a new mesh over top of it (thanks to adding polyboost to max), & go back 'n forth as much as you like. The process has become far more delineated from how it was only a few years ago. As a result the process much more intuitive & "creativity friendly", which is of course is great.

Hey do you know any good Texture tutorials out there. I have plenty of model but almost none have ever been UVMapped because i never figured out how to make a good looking texture.
