Radeon HD 5770 Pro meets AC Accelero L2

Intro

No question, the new AMD Radeon HD 5000 models to determine the current strong coverage in the scene. Again and again emerges - of course also in our tests - the fact that the cooling solutions are optimal, especially in view of the volume. And the board partners continue to date, alternative cooling solutions (yet) guilty. Thus, we take the theme of alternative cooling system and start with a Radeon HD 5770. In the area of the HD 5700-models, this card currently AMD's fastest implementation represents and is reflected in the power range between a Radeon HD 4850 and Radeon HD 4870.

About the price of this model, of course, speaks to the user significantly stronger than the more expensive HD 5800-models. And yet the idea of the Radeon HD 5770 for cooling was not actually described as optimal. Two samples we had in the house, one of which came with a defective heat pipe, therefore, the second pattern was found in high fan speed with a grinding fan.

AC L2 Pro wins. People dissed its lack for heatpipes but honestly the mass of alluminum works better it can hold alot of heat so combined with good air flow it works great.

I think to make a single slot cooler work with cards these days you need to make it extended foward well beyond the card in order to keep it cool.

You also get BAD results with a card blocked on the bottom, even with a 3 slot cooler you get better results if the card isn't blocked underneath.
